Tom Gibson-Brydon (1976-2009)
Happy 36th Tommy. Were you here today we would probably do what we did so many times before. We would grab a few Guinness at the house, roll some dice, bs about whatever, then head down to Sgt.s for a few more pitchers of Guinness. After that, who knows. Whether it was roaming the town, writing on railcars, sitting on the tank at the armoury, it was something that pals do. So here’s to you Tommy on your birthday and to know that we’re thinking of you and all the good times.
Thank you for posting this.
We taught English in P’Ohang, Korea at the same time as Tom. He came to our wedding and we hung out in Montreal when Jay & I visited home. The last time Jay spoke with him he was in the middle of his doctoral defense and couldn’t meet up. We hadn’t seen him in a couple years and were looking to invite him to a get-together this September with some of my oldest and dearest… becket41 was not responding so we looked on facebook to no avail. Then we Googled him and found his obituary. So we found out late last night. Today was rough. We have been looking through old pictures – remembering. We have some great shots in Korea if you ever want me to pass them along. Anyways, I just felt like reaching out to someone who was recently thinking of him.
Again, thanks for posting this in fond memory…
Thanks for the nice words for Tom. It has been a rough time for family and friends and we are doing our best to remember what a great guy he was. I would love it if you sent any photos you have so we can add them to the memory book. Just email them to aaron@adrowe.com.
